Alexander Welschenbach advises medium-sized companies, family-run partnerships, and corporations mainly on matters of commercial law. His focus is on commercial and corporate law and insolvency law. He assists his clients in setting up companies and in the acquisition or sale of companies (M&A). In addition to the management of complex corporate transactions, Alexander Welschenbach has extensive expertise in the field of restructuring and reorganisation as well as in arrangements covered by business transformation law. He also advises medium-sized companies and their shareholders on all other legal aspects of their business operations.

In addition, Alexander Welschenbach is active in the field of inheritance law, for instance in the structuring of corporate succession issues and the associated structuring of transfers of company shares and gifts. Furthermore, he advises on the drafting of wills, inheritance disputes, disputes over compulsory portions and inheritance tax law.
Together with Dr. Roland Steidle, Alexander Welschenbach is a founding partner of SWM Rechtsanwälte. Prior to that, he worked for two large German commercial law firms and an international law firm.
